Seaweed is something that makes so much sense for so many reasons. High in Calcium, high in protein (per gram), all of the good minerals you’d find in sea salt (without the sodium). It’s also high in Iodine which is critical for the function of your thyroid gland…

Greens drinks, specifically Spirulina & Chlorella are giving me huge results in terms of energy levels!
They’re alkalising, high in calcium, full of vitamins, stabilises blood sugar and are high in protein (per gram of powder…). I tried greens drinks when I first heard about alkalising our bodies. The situation is that most of the food we eat in the western world is acidic. Our blood has to stay at a about 7.36 pH. If it increases or decreases by too much we get ill and can die. That’s the extreme. And, our bodies have to ‘work’ to keep in balance. If we can give our body more alkalising foods the our body has to work less at dealing with the bad stuff we’re putting and thus gives us more energy – awesome!
My body reacts really well to these drinks. I feel awesome when about a month in. 1 every morning for a month. I like to add the powder to a small cup of water to get the highest concentration though some people will mix them with smoothies or sprinkle on salads. I find spirulina almost impossible to drink – it tastes like cow dung that has been left festering in a pond, though spirulina seems to give me the best results in terms of energy.
